    Dēśī Rāga-s in Saṅgītaratnākara - Lakṣya-lakṣaṇa-virōdha in Vādanakrama

    While describing the method of playing Ālāpa on the Kinnarī Vīṇā, Śārṅgadēva points out that the 'graha-svara' in practice is inconsistent with that prescribed in theory. Resolving of this seeming inconsistency by the author is discussed in this paper.
